Gloomy Day - P.O.T.D 17/08/2014

Sydney Opera House, one of the most iconic landmarks for Sydney and perhaps even Australia. It was Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the facility formally opened on 20 October 1973 after a gestation beginning with Utzon's 1957 selection as winner of an international design competition. On 28 June 2007, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This photo was taken with the Nikon D800e and the 24-70 f2.8 with a 10 stop ND filter. The settings was 4.5 minutes (270sec) exposure at f/11 and ISO 200. I decided to shoot a long exposure because I want to create contrast between the sky and the Opera House, but the results are not the best given there are too much clouds, but nonetheless, it is a photo that I would like to share with you all.
